Experience:
Jim’s real estate career started in 1979 with Dayton Hudson
Properties / The Center Companies. During his 10 years with TCC,
he was involved in property management, marketing, and construction.
He held management positions at Southland Mall, Westland Mall, and
Detroit Renaissance Center in Michigan. Jim served as a Group Manager
for TCC from 1984-1988 having responsibility for the Quail Springs
Mall, Oklahoma City, Sooner Fashion Mall, Norman, Oklahoma, and
The Flinthills Mall, in Emporia, Kansas. Jim returned to Michigan
in 1988 to work with Ramco-Gershenson as a leasing specialist with
responsibility for their Ohio properties. Since then, Jim has been
in the retail brokerage business and in 1998 became a principal
in the Olson Retail Group, Inc.
Clients / Customers:
Jim has worked with numerous retailers including: Farmer Jack,
Kroger, DOC Optical, Wal-mart, Flagstar Bank, Elder-Beerman Department
Stores, Dunham’s
Sporting Goods, Dollar Tree, Sally Beauty Supply, Cingular Wireless,
H&R Block, Super-Valu, CVS Pharmacy, Peebles Department Stores,
Oreck Vacuums, MC Sports, Rite-Aid, Goodwill Industries, ACO
Hardware, Pitaya, Rentway, Mattress King and Pamida.
Jim has extensive relationships with Landlords such as Graimark
/ Walker, FTG Realty, New Plan Realty, Developers Diversified, First
Holding Company, The Klein Group, Ferlito Construction, Jonna Properties,
The Equitable Group, Ramco-Gershenson, McKinley Properties, Chase
Properties and Wal-Mart Realty, Inc.
